2007 Sadberge Parish Plan

WIND FARMS NEAR SADBERGE

Plaque

Summary

The Sadberge Parish Plan has been extended to address the issue of wind farms near Sadberge.

It is clear from the results of the wind farms questionnaire that the Sadberge community opposes the construction of wind farms near our village.

At its meeting on 16-Dec-2008, Sadberge Parish Council formally adopted the 'wind farms addendum' to the Sadberge Parish Plan (see below) and approved the two supporting documents.

(1) The wind farms addendum to the Sadberge Parish Plan.
There are five specific actions in the Parish Plan addendum.  The first three actions are directed at opposing the construction of any wind farms near Sadberge, and the final two actions are to implement a back-up strategy of seeking to minimise the harm caused by any wind farms that are given the go-ahead despite our opposition.
(2) Details of the wind farms policy that we have asked Darlington Borough Council to adopt, preferably as part of the Darlington Local Development Framework.

(3) Details of the planning conditions that we have asked Darlington Borough Council to impose on any wind farm that is allowed to go ahead despite our opposition.
