SADBERGE HISTORY TRAIL

Point 2 – Berry Court

Plaque

Introduction

Berry Court was built on the site of the old Memorial Hall, which was the forerunner of the village hall.  Many Sadberge residents remember dances and concerts from its early beginnings.  For a time, it also doubled up as a classroom for older pupils at the adjacent village school.  The Memorial Hall was a symbol of Sadberge's community spirit of the time, which has been in evidence over the years.  Today, three attractive bungalows provide homes for older residents.
