Suspect Sudden Cardiac Arrest if the person
>> has collapsed; and
>>does not respond to being shaken and spoken to loudly; and
>>is not breathing normally.

YOU NEED TO ACT FAST!

RESPONSE TO SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST

(1)  Dial 999
Make sure that the professionals are on their way!
(2)

Start CPR

  • 30 chest compressions to the rhythm of Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees, alternating with
  • 2 breaths

Note: If you aren't comfortable doing the breaths, just keep doing chest comrpessions.

(3) Send someone to get one of the public access defibrillators.
